Now Hiring - Manufacturing Outside Sales Representative in Knoxville, TN

COMPONENT FABRICATORS INC. is looking for a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative for our Metal Fabrications Operation.

The full-time Sales Representative will pursue outside sales with the goal of obtaining new business that aligns with CFI’s production capabilities: CNC Tube Bending, Welding & Fabrication, CNC Routing, CNC Plasma/Laser cutting. The Sales Rep will be responsible for growing and maintaining CFI’s business by seeking and developing new customers. The Sales Rep will coordinate all the associated sales and customer service activities for new and existing accounts, within the CFI business unit.

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be expected to:

• Consulting on product development, explaining product features to customers during live demonstrations & negotiating contract terms.
• Serves customers by identifying their needs & engineering adaptations of products for outsourcing. Represent CFI as an expert in production capabilities and solutions.
• Identifies markets of current & future customer requirements by establishing target product sectors.
• Develop & implement a strategic CFI market strategy, & readily execute the plan.
• Develop & expand the customer & prospect base via cold calling, lead generation, etc.
• Meet sales goals as determined by the CFI President
• Attend engineering & production meetings as required by the CFI President
• Prepare & give technical presentations to explain to customers how CFI products & services be a cost saving solution.
• Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff & cost engineering.

Experience, Education, and Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Metal component & fabrication sales experience
• Ability to read & understand fabricated metal & engineering specifications and prints.
• Excellent writing & verbal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with tech & non-tech personnel.
• Must be able to travel at least 20-30%
• Problem solving with groups of technical / engineering / processing groups.
• Marketing skills, be able to build a customer base.
• Selling to customer needs and offering solutions.
• Software requirements, Microsoft office, CAD knowledge preferred, presentation tools.
